15 Kitchen Must Haves!!

|

Hello Friends!

I’ll be back next week with another yummy recipe (Lemon Shrimp Zoodles) but today I thought I’d share a few of my favorite gadgets and kitchen must haves.
We all have em….and these are mine. :)

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

A white spiralizer turning a zucchini into spiral noodles, with four interchangeable blades below showing different cutting styles and resulting vegetable shapes—one of the kitchen must haves for healthy, creative cooking.

Spiralizer!
Everyone needs one of these.

Four color-coded cutting boards are stacked, each with a white food icon—red with a chicken, yellow with a cow, blue with a fish, and green with a tomato—making them essential kitchen must haves for safe, organized meal prep.

Cutting Mats.
I use these all the time! More than my wood cutting boards.

A green plastic kitchen utensil with a long handle and a flat, four-blade paddle at the end, this tool is one of those kitchen must haves for breaking up ground meat or mixing food with ease.

Chopper/Masher.
These are great for frying ground meats, mashing potatoes or avocados.

Three white plastic spatulas with flat, rounded ends and long handles—each featuring a hole for hanging—are arranged side by side on a white background, making them essential kitchen must haves.

Skinny Spatulas.
Have a Vitamix or blender? These are great for getting that last little bit out.
Or that last little bit out of jars and such.

A red, circular pie crust shield with evenly spaced slits is shown—a true kitchen must have. An illustrated instruction card featuring a woman and pie appears in the lower left corner.

Adjustable Pie Crust Shield
Adjustable is the key word here! For those that had the one size “does not” fit all type! ;)

A white OXO brand food chopper with a transparent lower section showing measurement markings, a black handle, and a black top—one of the kitchen must haves—set against a plain white background.

Food Chopper
I use mine all the time. Anything from nuts, carrots, onions or even cooked meat!
It just makes prep so much easier and faster.

A rectangular, beige foam pad with rounded corners, shown on a white background—a versatile addition to your kitchen must haves.

Baking Stones(and loaf pans)
I use these, by far, more than any other bakeware!

A stainless steel lemon squeezer with a halved lemon inside, a whole lemon and two lemon halves beside it—diagrams below show lemons being cut and squeezed. A true kitchen must have for effortless citrus prep.

Citrus Juicer
These are definitely a must have if you use lemons/limes a lot in cooking or drinks.

A silver and black handheld immersion blender with a whisk and blending attachment, placed on a white background—one of the kitchen must haves. The brand name Hamilton Beach is visible on the handle.

Hand Blender
These are great for small things.
Plus, perfect for making salad dressings, etc.

The word Nancy written in elegant, black cursive script, with a small heart shape forming the dot above the letter i, evokes the delicate sweetness of snow cream. The background is white.

Kitchen Shears
Everyone should have a pair of these!
I use mine for all kinds of things, such as cutting away the fatty part of raw chicken.
Much easier than using a knife. (be sure to clean them well after using on raw meat though!)

Vitamix
Not a must have, must have. But I must have it! ;)
I use mine all the time. You can even make soup in this! (from start to finish, no cooking on the stovetop)

KitchenAid Mixer
Okay, you could get by without this, but why would you want to? ;)

Cookie Cooling Racks
Make cookies? You need these!

Salt & Pepper Grinders
I use (and LOVE!) freshly ground pepper. It tastes nothing like the commercial ground black pepper you can buy.
To me anyway!
Not only that, buying sea salt (<- my favorite brand) and using it in my salt grinder is my favorite way too!
NOTE: I also use ground Pink Himalayon mixed 50/50 with iodized sea salt for other health benefits.

Glass Storage Containers
As a cancer survivor, health is important to me.
I no longer store food in plastic and  I don’t think anyone should. :)
These are glass bottoms with BPA free plastic lids and they are all I use.
OR old glass food jars that I wash and recycle to use for leftovers, etc.

So, are any of these your must haves too?
Have a favorite thing I didn’t mention. I’d love to hear about it!
Tell me about it in the comments section. I’m always looking for fun new things to try! :)

  1. My favorite can’t live without kitchen “gadget” is a salad spinner. But I think I have to add a spiralizer to my kitchen supplies after seeing yours <:o)
