I’ve got the perfect little recipe for you.
These adorable chocolate raspberry mini heart pies.
All you need is a box of pre-made pie crusts, raspberry preserves, chocolate chips and one egg.
Cut the pie crusts into hearts and add raspberry preserves (or any flavor you like) and mini chocolate chips.
You can use milk or egg wash to seal the edges. I used an egg wash.
Place the second heart on top of the filled heart and seal the edges with a fork.
Next, cut a slit or two into the top.
I did an “x” … as in “xo”..for Valentine’s. ;)
I had a smaller heart cookie cutter so made a few “bite sized” ones too.
Little cuties.
Add more of the egg wash to the tops of the hearts and sprinkle with course sugar crystals.
Bake at 375 for about 15 minutes or until golden.
Aren’t they sweet?
Chocolate and raspberry….the perfect combo for Valentine’s day.
