Want to get in the kitchen and out? ;)
Short on time?
I’ve got the perfect little recipe for you.
These adorable chocolate raspberry mini heart pies.
All you need is a box of pre-made pie crusts, raspberry preserves, chocolate chips and one egg.
Cut the pie crusts into hearts and add raspberry preserves (or any flavor you like) and mini chocolate chips.
You can use milk or egg wash to seal the edges. I used an egg wash.
Place the second heart on top of the filled heart and seal the edges with a fork.
Next, cut a slit or two into the top.
I did an “x” … as in “xo”..for Valentine’s. ;)
I had a smaller heart cookie cutter so made a few “bite sized” ones too.
Add more of the egg wash to the tops of the hearts and sprinkle with course sugar crystals.
Bake at 375 for about 15 minutes or until golden.
Aren’t they sweet?
Chocolate and raspberry….the perfect combo for Valentine’s day.

- 1 jar raspberry preserves
- 1 pkg mini chocolate chips (as desired)
- 1 egg, beaten
- course sugar sprinkles
Cut the pie crusts with a heart cookie cutter.
Add a spoonful of the preserves to the middle of the heart and spread slightly in the shape of the heart. Don't get too close to the edges and don't overfill.
Sprinkle mini chocolate chips onto the preserves. (as desired)
Brush egg wash onto the second heart. Place over the filled heart and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
Move to a baking pan and brush the tops with more egg wash. Sprinkle with the sugar crystals and bake at 375 for approx 15 minutes or until golden.
You can use any type of preserves you like.
Strawberry is also nice for Valentine's day!
