These maple bacon chocolate chip cookies are so good y’all. Mainly because they combine 2 wonderfully delicious things!
Bacon and chocolate!!
Yep, I’ve done it again. ;) Just like my delish maple bacon biscotti.
So, so good.
I start out by making a basic chocolate chip cookie recipe …
….whipping the butter and sugar together.
Adding the eggs….
Then it gets interesting. ;)
I chop uncooked bacon into small pieces and deep fry them in canola oil so they are nice and crisp.
I add that along with maple syrup and maple flavor to my dough. (and the chocolate chips, of course!)

Maple Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Total Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 2–1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 sticks butter, softened but not melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp maple extract
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips (or more, as desired)
- 1/2–1 cup chopped cooked bacon (as much as desired)
Instructions
- Chop bacon into very small pieces. Drop into hot oil and cook until extra crisp. Drain and remove as much of the oil as you can. Set aside to cool.
- Cream the butter and sugars together.
- Add the eggs, maple syrup and flavorings to the creamed sugar/butter mixture. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients.
- Add the dry ingredients to the creamed sugar/butter mixture. Mix well.
- Add the chocolate chips and bacon to the dough and incorporate by hand.
- Roll into small balls and bake at 375 for 7-10 minutes. (Shorter for softer cookies, longer for crunchy cookies)
- Cool and drizzle, if desired, with a simple icing consisting of powered sugar, milk and maple syrup extract. (or vanilla, whichever you prefer)
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 10 minutes
